Quest offer
What an impudent child! I've lost count on how many times I have instructed her about the dangers of arcane magic. That reckless curiosity of hers will one day be the doom for all of us. You've surely noticed the tower uphill from this humble abode? Usually I would reside there with all the other magically interested from around Northwind and elsewhere, but my ‘dearest' apprentice Thronda thought it would be a brilliant idea to summon her own assembly of arcane elementals to help with her chores. Too bad that they grew out of control and are now terrorizing my tower! Hero, ascend it, and retrieve my almanach as well as residue from their demise. Once I am attuned to their energy, I can cast a spell to stop them from rematerializing.
On return
How are your dealings with my tower faring?
Turn-in
Simply marvelous. A job well done. Thronda should listen well and follow your example. She has great potential, but her lack of discipline is a dire thorn in my side - and hers, too. Still, I can only partially blame her, for it is my sworn duty to her parents to foster her magical talent as much as her growth as a person. You have my deepest gratitude, good traveler. Before you go, take one of these as compensation for the troubles. Be sure to step wary during these trying times.
