Aberrations skulk these halls. Monsters born from malice and demons from the depth of depravity call this once resplendent place their home. I still remember it vividly, Balor - how it used to be. Bustling with life and commerce. None of it remains, except the spirits of those still clinging on. The cruelty inflicted upon us decades ago tethers us to our former home, preventing us from moving on. Good Hero, will you be the one to break our shackles? Deep within the castle, beyond the stockades, the orc’s demonic allies conduct vile experiments. One of their overseers, a vile demoness with wings and hooves, holds a fragment of my soul, keeping me frozen in time. Slay her and retrieve it. Then perhaps…
On return
She is a sadistic creature, torturing souls for her own enjoyment. Her retribution cannot come sooner.
Turn-in
Ah… The weight that leaves my very being dissipates as we speak. Being whole once more, passing into the afterlife may not be just a desperate plea anymore. Hero, my sincerest thank you. Had it been not for you, I and many others would have been anchored in the world of the living still. My heart rests more easily now, thanks to you. Please, accept one of my remaining physical possessions as a just reward for you.
