Quest text
Quest offer
The price of your search is unusually unremarkable. No heft, simply a slab of an unknown metal that weighs light in your hand. You wonder what the parasite sees in this blade, and as if it can read your mind, it speaks again to enlighten you. “The blade has slumbered for eons, anticipating its awakening. Born from the chaos of your world, it yearns to be set free. To observe. To learn. To comprehend. My servant, I feel the thirst for power coursing through your body. Become a part in fulfilling the blade’s destiny and you shall be given permission to taste a fraction of its power. Seek the runes of the demons scouring your infant world. Together with the nail of a dreadlord, you shall carve the blade’s purpose into it. Both you will find in the Tainted Scar of the Blasted Lands. To accomplish that, seek the Altar of Depths in the ocean’s abyss southeast of Arkkoran’s temple in the lands you call Azshara.”
On return
The altar lies abandoned, lost to the depth of the Great Sea.
Turn-in
With the reagents at hand, the voice speaks to you yet again. You have grown accustomed to the pain inflicted when that happens: “How does it feel, servant? The pressure. The darkness. The comforting embrace of an endless chasm. There are truths and power resting deep beneath the mantle of shadows cast above the vast abyss. Waiting to be discovered, waiting to burst forth into your unknowing world. Now, take the nail and carve the blade’s name into the ageless metal: Thil’phoral.”
