Quest
<The book documents the Fallen One’s journey from them splitting off the Moro’gai up to the present. Some pages offer interesting insights on incidents throughout that time.>
We have left the others behind at Shimmerstar Lake. So far they have not tried to get in contact with us again, a circumstance I very much welcome. My followers are hard at work establishing new huts and traps for the fish at the pond we have settled. It does not compare to Shimmerstar Lake, but it should provide us with plenty of food, coupled with the wild horned beasts nearby we can hunt. We need to return to normalcy quickly, or else they will lose faith in me.
Last night, a glistening star illuminated the sky. Shortly after, the star fell onto the coast, much like they did back on Draenor. The impact was right next to our settlement, and while I was able to save most of my followers from the impact, many of our huts and a few unfortunate ones were caught in the blast. A heavy setback, but we will recover. We must.
Time has passed since the star crashed down to the earth. From the crater, a gigantic crystal emerged. It is not draenethyst, but a rare gift from the Twisting Nether. My followers have recovered from the impact, somewhat atleast. But now new hurdles are laid before our path. Energy from the crystal attracted scaled fiends of azure color. From the way they act, I can feel that they knew about it beforehand. Could they have had a hand in calling it toward this world?
The situation has become dire. Residue from the crystal seeped into our pond and fouled the fish inside. While my tribesmen still live, eating the fish caused them to convulse in great pain or even fall into a coma. The great horned beasts also migrated mostly to the west, making survival more difficult by the day. Skirmishes with the scaled fiends happen more and more with each passing day and we don't have the power to fend them off forever.$B$BWe are surrounded by enemies and our food supplies begin to run out. Was this path I’ve chosen for my kin truly the right one? Shall I falter already?
In my dreams, I experienced a vision. In my inner turmoil, doubts and regrets plagued my mind. Should I accept my misjudgment and return to the Moro’gai? My conviction wavered. It was then that a voice called out to me. A deep and raspy voice, one to know many eons. They spoke of my ambitions, dreams and the loss of trust in my own abilities. And that I could reclaim my lost zeal by seeking allies in the mountains to the south. I was hesitant, but what options had I been left with? My intuition tells me to put my trust in that voice, as desperate as it may be.
I have sought those mysterious allies; Satyrs, as they call themselves. They are horned and tall creatures, with broad hooves. Their long claws and anguished grimace caused distrust at first, but after speaking with one of their leaders, my doubts were diminished. He called himself Selenaxx, and his people were cast into the darkness as outcasts. They worship a god of the name of Xavius, whose voice I apparently heard in my dream vision. According to Selenaxx, their god is a benevolent one that seeks out those in need and shunned by the world.
The Satyr offered their help against our adversaries. The magic that they wield is potent and would be a great asset to assure our survival. Perhaps they could even be the key to unlock the Draenethyst's true potential… Yet still, hesitation still remains. I shall contemplate on what decision to make. For now, I am relieved to see other kindred spirits in this forsaken world.
