Quest offer
Fire glands alone will not suffice to breach the skardyn's defenses—no, not by far. Their twisted flesh has been hardened by shadow, warded against mere flame. What we require is a catalyst... a focused conduit through which the fury of dragonfire may be properly channeled. There is a gnome, curious and cunning—Oglethorpe Obnoticus by name—residing in that chaotic cesspit the mortals call Booty Bay. In his younger years, he toiled with volatile flame in an attempt to cleanse the blight of Gnomeregan. His methods were... unorthodox, and not without controversy. The Tinkmaster himself opposed them. Yet, if there exists a mind capable of forging a dragonfire device potent enough to break through the skardyn's shadow-wrought hide, it is his. Seek him. Time is not on our side.
On return
What is it? I'm rather busy!
Turn-in
Dragonfire bombs? Ha-HA! Now you're speaking my language! You've come to the right gnome, friend! Oglethorpe Obnoticus at your service—chemist, engineer, part-time arcanomechanical theorist, and full-time enthusiast of all things that go BOOM! Buuut let's not get ahead of ourselves. Sure, I can whip up a dragonfire bomb—of course I can! But as it stands, I'm a bit... let's say, under-equipped. Supplies, reagents, blastproof goggles—the usual! So! If you're ready to lend a hand, we just might make a little history together. A very explosive bit of history.
